Email is already registered error

Description of problem

Whenever a member tries to join the website they get an error saying that their email is already registered.

Could you please send me a private message with the list of the emails your members are using to register on the forum ?

Yes, and she responded with a question that I answered. But no reply back and I really want to get this fixed as new members get it.

if the PM has been read then she has passed it on to our teach team and has not had any news from the team yet ...Note we are in a busy time right now and there is a long long list of things to be fixed / Changed / Replaced / reworked / bug fixes and all the day to day work they also have to fix.

So please be patient  as we are doing the best we can to get all bugs fixed as fast as we can.

I've just verified every email you sent and all of them correspond to a member on your forum. It means your members managed to create an account...
Of course, if they've tried to register a second time with the same email address, an error message will say the email is already taken or this member already exist...

If was the first time they registered when they got the error. So when they first registered it gave them an error saying the email was already in use even though it wasn't because the user account was still created. So the accounts were created, but the error still came up.

Hummm... It is very strange because I just made a test and I don't have any problem to register:

Yes, some people get it and others don't. It is very unusual. But it is still happening.

And the account is created even if they get the error message ?

You function in ACP >> General >> Security >> Disallow entries made with the most common usernames, used by spammers is actived? This feature is responsible for detecting alleged fraud username, widely used by spam. Disable it and see if it helps.
