Hello,
For the 'New thread' and 'new reply' buttons part, go to ACP (Admin panel)-->Display-->Pics management (Advanced)--> Find the tab with the images and image url, remove the url from the slots, hit save. Those buttons will now be removed.

No I do not believe it is possible via the default options available in the acp to remove only the lower buttons and still leave the top. I am not sure if code could accomplish this or not. I can tell you removing the 'message 1 of 1' part of it should be alot easier to accomplish and only on the button portion.

If you remove the pagination, how would someone go to the next page of a topic that have many pages?

If you want to remove that (Message 1 of 1), so add that text to your CSS.
- Code:
.pun .main-foot .h2, .pun .main-head .h2 {   Â
display: none !important;
}
