Question about domain

Hei. A few days back a bought a domain. I didin't transfer forum's address from forumotion to the new domain yet, because I was wondering...

If I transfer forum to new domain, will there be two the same forums? One, who is my old forum and second, with a domain? So, if my members will still post messages in old forum, there won't show up in the new one (or vice versa)? I'm not quite acquainted with this...
