I have recently purchased a domain name

The problem now is how do i force my forumotion domain to that particular domain name

That is my visitors visit my forum they will be redirected to that domain which i have bought from godaddy

(FYI, you could have purchased the domain name directly with forumotion via your administrative pannel.)

In order to change your Host Records (CNAME) for a domain purchased via GoDaddy please check the company's tutorial : https://godaddy.com/help/add-a-cname-record-19236

Otherwise you will need to contact your host's support and explain your issue.

Of course it is taken since you have already purchased it on GoDaddy. That's normal, don't worry. Now you just have to follow this tutorial:

You need to edit the part of the CNAME (name : www, value : domain) and then follow the instructions which are mentioned in the tutorial.
However, it would be better if you could ask your domain registrar.

But I just discovered that when I put in my browser for instance, www.domain.com it takes me to my website but when i put domain.com it takes me back to godaddy website any idea what i can do to end this?

It seems that your domain (without the www) has not been redirected correctly. You could wait some hours to see if it is solved (since it takes some time to redirect your domains) and if it doesn't work, you will need to contact Godaddy's support

Hello No sorry this is down to Godaddy we only deal with the main forum tools here.

All url support is down to your domain host.
You need to see if it will sort its self out by monday and if there is still a problem your have to call your domain host (godaddy) for more support.

Thereis really nothing else we can do our end as the domain name has not got anything to do with FM support team.

You can remove the redirection in your administration panel.

Since you purchased it outside of Forumotion, you can only redirect the domain name to your forum.

For support for your domain name, you will need to contact GoDaddy.
