Right - click is forbidden !!!

hi guys , i was surfing in forumotion and i saw some forum about games and something like that , i dont gonna say which web , cuz i think i dont have permission to write that . so that point is when i tried to copy so image or clicking on the right click , it shows me this :



its really awesome , i wanted this 3 months ago ... so now i found it ... i really want to do this , so how can i do it .
which code do i have to put in my forum , which direction ... if u know please help me , and tell me the steps .
cuz i dont want people to copy my stuff in my forum .

This is good ... but on the other hand some images can be distributed .
There is also a cheap way to get passed this is you got Mozilla.

@ maximento did you specially add this script to lock the banner by any chance?? I bet you don't want anyone else to have it

lol eeeh (A) not only but mostly what do you mean with images get disturbed though, because I have this navbar that seems tp be working on firefox but not on IE could that be a problem that has been caused by it?
the bad thing is though even with the security up I know away around to still get someones pictures and stuff!

so to let you know although it is a cool security I can still take someones banner if I wanted to even if they have the security

Yes Max - I too know a way around this security code . . . but the thing that just made me remove this *right click is forbidden* code, is I've lost my ability to copy and paste in my text boxes! In other words, I format a piece in a document and copy it, but I'm not able to paste it into my text box. SO, I had to remove the code.

Nobody can make you not to copy the picture. Just screencapture it, and than edit it.

This code is okay, but not a very good solution. If you don't have template editing it will be hard to get it everywhere. Besides that, this is javascript, javascript has to be run on the users' browser. You can't force people to use javascript, all I have to do is tell my browser to stop running javascript code and I can right click all I want. This is even better than a simple screen capture, because I'll get better resolution most of the time by copying the actual image. Javascript isn't a good security option, it is good to get some things done, but don't use it for any type of security because anybody can turn it off.

just use ctrl+c to copy
and ctrl+v to paste.

and I was talking about sites that have this security I can stil take the banners from them and buttons from them.

and I am not talking about print screen so there are flauds in the system

I was just coming here to say that very thing. I just installed the code last night, but didn't realize someone could just use ctrl+C to copy it anyway.

Next question then: Can we stop someone from using ctrl+C or is it hopeless?

I'm sure you could come up with javascript code to stop ctrl-c being pressed, that isn't the answer to getting around javascript though. Javascript is a client based, so it runs on the users' browser, application. If the user doesn't want any javascript code to run, they can easily just turn it off on their browser, now anything you have written in javascript won't work. That is why this is flawed. It is one of the easiest things to get around.
