Description of problem

Dear Forumotion staff,

I am looking for an option to change my registered email address on Servimg, however, I cannot find an option to do so on Servimg's account pages. I can prove ownership of both the old and new email address if necessary.

I am not having issues logging into Servimg; I would just like to change the email address that is associated with my Servimg account. I have access to both the old and the new email address, and I have the password that I use to log in to my account.

That's what I thought as well, but there is no field for email address on Servimg. It's an image hosting solution seemingly operated by Forumotion, so that's why I'm here. The fields available are, "First name", "Last name", "Current password", "New password", "Confirm password", "Site Language" and a checkbox "Delete your account?"

why not opening a new account ?

If you are the founder, the log in information is what you used to create the forum.  
When you created the forum, the Servimg account was created, too.

If you change the founder account information on the forum, it does not change it for Servimg or the forum utilities.

I created my Servimg account as a member of a now defunct Forumotion forum. I don't own any forums myself so I can't log into the forums. I can only log in to Servimg directly. I read the Servimg tutorial, but couldn't find any useful information there to help me.

I don't want to create a new account, as I have a lot of images stored on my existing account. Furthermore, I cannot create a new account because Servimg doesn't offer any forms for registration either. I'm asking here, hoping that those at Forumotion that deal with Servimg can change the email on my existing account, or point me in the direction of somewhere I can do that myself.

a servimg account is created when you create a new forum or when you create a new account on a forum with a new email.

sadly it is not possible to create a new account manually or to change your email address. Maybe an administrator can ask our technicians if they can do something.

I see. Is it possible to get in touch with an admin or technician in some way? It's at least worth a try to see if they could resolve it.

Wait a minute!  Are you just a member of a forum, and what to change your Servimg account?

Hi again @SLGray! That is correct, I am just a member, not a forum owner, and want to change the email address associated with my Servimg account only. The forum where I registered for Servimg (as a member) is defunct.

Have you changed your email on the forum?

Hello i can help you here.

If your account on the forum no longer is open then there is nothing we can do as we only sub host from Servimg we have no power over this host at all as its not really a part of FM's You can however Email Servimg them self and ask them to change your Email address for you.

if the forum was still open to you then you could have just changed the account Email address but as you no longer have the forum open you can not update the account and no one on our team can do this for you as your not a member on the forum any longer.

So im sorry to say but your Servimg Email address as nothing to do with us any more and the only way to deal with this is to Email Servimg them self's.

Hi, @APE, and thank you for your reply. I was unaware that Forumotion did not manage Servimg themselves, but I will try and get in touch with them directly about changing my email. I can't seem to find any contact details, though. I'll try and send an email to the WHOIS registered email and ask if there is somewhere I can go for support. It seems like the WHOIS email is protected by a domain privacy service, but I'll give it a try anyway.

Do you happen to know of any contacts for Servimg?
