I can't get custom etoes to show properly

Hi guys,

I can't seem to get smilies to show that i add. I have followed the tutorial i found in here but when i go to see the smilies in a post only the code shows so i'm not sure what i am doing wrong.

[EDIT: A lot of the smilie links in the tutiorial are no longer working]

I am useing windows 10 with Firefox browser. My forum is PhP BB3

When you enter the code for a smiley, are you doing something like this?

Yes i am...I even tried doing it with out the ::...They show in the smilies once i add them..in the smilies index...but only the code shows in a post...

Hello do you have the following settings turned on in your ACP and in your profile ?

 Members profile:
                
                        Click on Profile in your nav bar >> Preferences Tab >> Scroll down until you see / Find >> Always enable Smilies : Tick YES then save.

 ACP settings:

                  ACP >> General tab >>   Messages and e-mails >> Configuration >> Allow Smilies : YES then Save

then you should not have a problem seeing them

Thankyou. Yes i've done all that. I had a very large forum a few years ago but due to life i deleted it and just coming back now after a few years away..Ive never had this issue before

We can all see the smilies that come with the forum. It's seeing the smilies i add that we can't see. All that shows in the smilie box is the code..But when i add the smilie and go back to the smilie admin panel it shows in that...Just not when we try to add it to a post.

if yes turn them off for a sec and try again

Is this happening in all browsers and devices?

maybe iam totally wrong but you add a smile to a category called angry number 3 

so you need to open the arrow and select that category in order to see the smile
 it 

Thankyou..Yes i do that but if you look at my screen shots you will see...all we see when try to post is the code and not the smilie...even once it's posted all we see is the code...

Thankyou everyone for your help...i honestly don't know what's going on. I have a few members that have been on other forumotion forums so i might ask if anyone can take a look and help me. I'
m guessing it's the smilies themselves sio i might just delete them and find new ones.
