Solved Making a backup of a forum

Post by BloodDrunk Fri 17 Mar - 10:38

    First topic message reminder :

Is it possible for me to download the entire forum (in it's current state), so I can edit its design in offline mode, so I don't mess up with it while it's online?

    Whew, lots of responses.
I know I can export the Theme, but what's the use of that when I can't get an instant preview of what I'm doing with the design.

I was thinking something like getting a duplicate of a forum, and make it unaccessible, only to be able to play with its design and structure. And when I get all I want the way I want it, to implement it to the original forum.

    Hold one second,

You have forgot one thing and it is impotent .

When making a Export  it will not save all files for your theme It ONLY saves,

    • Icons
    • banners
    • CSS files and the main layout of your forum.

    It DON'T save the following.

    • Javascripts
    • Templates
    • HTML pages

All of this has to be saved by hand on to your computer

Nope i think that all of it For the templates we do have a new took installed that will save your templates if you have not already seen it its a little floppy disk icon on the tools in your modded templates so if you made a change to them then it will show there looks like this >> Click that and it will ask you to save the file on your computer you just have to pick where you will save it
