An Account created under my name without permission.

So, I went to check around my gmail accounts like I frequently do when I get many notifications from different websites that I check everyday and I noticed someone created an account on Servimg on my main email. Here's what the email read:

Hello SheppardkillerYT,

You receive this automatic e-mail because your account on "Servimg" - https://servimg.com has been created from your board account.

Please notice that you can log in with the following information :
Login : s*******g***@gmail.com
Password : The board one

I need staff to DM me so I can get my main email blocked from making an account on this website or ban the IP of where the account was created so the person who made it won't get me into legal trouble.

Unfortunatelly we do not have control over servimg and can not delete any accounts on servimg as it is actually a different company and not controlled by forumotion.

Did it give a forum address in the email as well? Cause we do have control over our forums though obviously. If there is a forum url in it then we can ask our team to look in to it.

No, it didn't give a forum address in the email but I was able to change the password on the account and delete it before anything else happened. The email I pasted was what was on the entire email itself and the next 3 emails afterwards were from me changing the password and for account deletion. If you can somehow get me in contact with the owners of servimg it would be greatly appreciated so I can let them deal with this issue further.

Have you uploaded any images on a forum hosted by Forumotion or created a forum?

No, I use the website Imgur and even then I rarely posted anything picture related.

So you did not create a forum with this email address?

Yes, I can confirm that I've never created a forum with that email. Plus I don't know how to run a forum so I never really wanted to make one in the first place.

It could be someone created a forum or an account on a forum using your email address. I mean they do not have access to it, but just entered a random email address.

So, I don't have to worry about anything then? One thing I don't understand is that the person had the account named SheppardKillerYT as stated in the email as if the person knew one of my online alias' that I go by.

Hello I think i can answer your Question here.

Only the other week we did some work on our side to remove tinypic from our systems and put inplace some new settings to help founders with uploading things.

Now some forums had tinypic as there default photo up-loader This was removed and we put everyone on one of the 2 systems
servimg or Imgur

Now if you are a founder you will be gave one of them and if you are a member and us the tools on the editor it will make an account for you and then send you a Email.

now if you make an account on some other forum with the Email address you gave it will make an account for you no matter if you want it or not.

so my Question to you is have you used that Email address to make an account on any FM forums at all Founder or non founder ?

Ok, I wanted to make sure my email wasn't somehow found out and I just checked my important section and yeah my main email was used to create the account. Thanks for helping me out and reassuring me that nothing bad happened.
