Permanent mark topic read

Hi All

I am not sure this is possible. If I know the topic number, is any way we can mark that topic read insteaf of unread ?

The reason is my users do not read certain topics and topics show unread and they keep clicking on mark topic read .. it 's annoyed

So the issue is that unread topics are showing has unread after reading them?  Also they will show has unread/new when someone replies to them.

the issue is they want to be "read" all the time even they do not read it . In other word, they want to ignore some topics they want

still no answer, I find another way

Answer : apply a script that can filter post appears on Latest topic. Search around then you'll see one.
