Solved CNAME records are still active after domain was allowed to expire

    Post by RedEyeIT 23/8/2018, 00:07

I had the domain, kitopen.com, that after the packages were introduced redirected to kito.forumotion.com
Since there was no point in paying for the domain anymore, then I let it expire.

Now however when a user tries to recover an account, the link in the email is http://www.kitopen.com/profile.forum?mode=reactivate&u=xxxx&ak=xxxx but that domain doesn't exist anymore.

The cname record doesn't appear to be visible anymore:

yes that is right you need to turn off the redirect on your ACP and on your domain name host so it will go back to your old address.

do you still have the tools in your domain host ?

if yes just remove the domain name from there. once the domain is gone from there it should be fixed.
