I'm still dealing with a particularly adamant troll on my site, so is there any way to set new users' posts to admin approval? Last time he got through, I had to delete 50-some spam posts and topics he'd made and I'd like to try to avoid that again if I can.

Forums hosted by Forumotion do not have this feature.
But clubs hosted by Forumotion do have it.

Hello,
While this feature does not currently exist on the service as SLGray said, it is possible to hide posts from banned members and have them only show up for moderators and admins. I know this doesn't help with having to do delete so many spam posts, but it might help you out by hiding the posts to members until you get time to delete them.
Also have you tried banning this user's ip address and email addresses?

Numerous times. He just opens new email accounts and uses VPNs to get past IP bans.brandon_g wrote:Also have you tried banning this user's ip address and email addresses?

I know it's possible to hide posts from a specific user without deleting them using Javascript, however, I sadly do not have the skills to do it and one the code made for me long time ago by @Ange Tuteur only hid them for a specific user.
Maybe someone can make you a code that can either hide all the posts from them without having to delete them or maybe even create a mass delete script for you. One of those 2 would probably be the best solution for you.

Hello this may help you delete lots of posts from a member/ spammer.
How it works.
if the spammer makes an account before you ban the username and IP address Email address you would use this tool.
It would remove / delete all the posts on your forum.
Now before you delete anything you will need to get the IP address from one of the posts so you can ban them later.
Please note this is not tested on the newer forums.

That would definitely be useful. How do I find out which forum version my site is, though?APE wrote:Hello this may help you delete lots of posts from a member/ spammer.

I created the function (feature or widget or whatever), but it seems to make the site load slower, cause a few of the header buttons to disappear and colored topic icons to be replaced with "New Posts"/"No New Posts". Any idea why? I just copied and pasted the code provided without making any changes. The forum version in the code is set for my board version.
