As the title says, I would like to stop people using an email address as a user name. It seems to me the easiest way would be by blocking the @ symbol. The problem is you have to use a minimum of 3 characters. I read somewhere on the forum that by using the * symbol like *@* this would work to block the middle character. Unfortunately it doesn't work.

I could not get it to work. Though I admit I may have done it wrong when changing the restrict to characters instead of numbers.

This is how I did it on a friends forum.
I blocked it like this @hot, @Live, @gmai @out That will stop all the basic ones.

I have copied them into my username list. Hopefully it will help prevent the amount of users trying to register with their emails
