Automated integration of subscribers

Hello to all,

I am very new to this and would like your experience upon this matter.

Let's say you want to link a forum to an online marketplace or ecommerce site, created on a commonly available platform (e.g. arcadier, wix, shopify etc.).
Forum is also created on a platform like forumotion.

Is it possible for each new subscriber of the marketplace/ecommerce, be automatically subscribed to the forum under the same username and password? In order to avoid the second-separate sign-up to the forum.

Hope it makes sense.

Sadly I don't think it is possible, because the registration page of Forumotion forums is done in multiple pages. If it was just one single page and then the confirmation it would have been possible, but with a multi-step registration system we cannot do that.

Also, it would be a bit tricky because the user needs to check and confirm he acknowledged the privacy terms and the terms of service of the forum. I am afraid it is not possible such an integration between forumotion forums and external resources, if not for Facebook login

Is there, maybe, the possibility that, the forum admin(s) are able to register manually each new member of the marketplace to the forum?

Again, i guess that would mean that the user will not check and confirm the terms, unless you reference/link the forum's terms in the initial subscription form ?

@Myth_sn sure that would be possible, you would just register as if you were them, but how do you know the password of users? That is not possible

Sadly Forumotion lacks of an API integration to do what you were asking, so the only option is to ask them to register again. What (maybe) could be done is the opposite: you register on the forum and then automatically register on the external platform - but in the same way, it depends on how the registration works on the external site.

I can confirm what Niko has said. It is not possible to do what your asking on Forumotion. Unfortunately all you could do is link to the forum on the website or app, and ask members to register to the forum separately.

To what you are asking, you would almost basically have to create your own back end code, database, etc which would allow you to take information from the database, and 'pull' that info from the website, so that it can be used in the forum. But again you would essentially have to build everything from scratch to do this, which is very expensive and requires a lot of experienced coders and resources to put together.

Regardless, it is possible to do this type of data integration on Forumotion forums.
