Delete Forum

HI everyone,

I haven't posted much before and have no idea where i ask for help etc so perhaps if this is in the wrong place you could let me know where i ask the following question..

Along with a few friends we have had this forum active for around 11 years, sadly many members have moved on to other groups and now only 2 of us are active, when we were in full swing we had 200 members and used to buy credits for a domain url, i as administrator and one of the 3 who formed the group would like to delete it in its entirety, the founder sadly died in 2010, and since then we have lost the password and unable to create a new one..
I have taken the initial steps and deleted all the topics and subtopics.. Contacted and deleted all the members sensitive things such as photos , and their usernames, the only members left are myself , the founder and a member who rejoined without realising the intention of closing the group..

Please could someone contact me and let me know how i delete the group, we may return again and open a new group but for now this Three Gems Group needs to be deleted....

Only the founder can delete the forum.

AP > General > Forum > Forum Deletion
Do not close the AP window when you check your email.

our system shows that the founder was connected last year so how can he pass away in 2010 ???

When she passed away myself and another administrator just used the email and password we always had used which our founder gave us, no idea how it worked but it did,  however when i want to log in as the founder which i haven't had to do for quite some time i can't login, it says the password is invalid,  i contacted the other administrator but she can't remember the details either.deleted by skouliki is the founders name and did have deleted by skouliki but no idea if that email works and how to get a new password as its not my account.. It worked but now doesn't and i can't remember the old password..

Hi when we opened the group there were 3 administrators and 1 of the administrators acted as the founder, sadly she pass away in 2010 and this is who we pay tribute to on the portal page in the link below

We continued being able to use her Alexandrite account, but this is dormant unless we needed to buy credits to keep the domain name, up until the last year we always bought credits and kept the domain name, but then my other administrator has stopped logging onto the forum and it had only been myself and another member with user name Casey, its been me and Casey for almost a year and a half, signing in and chatting occassionally.. Sadly as admin i made the decision to close the group and delete it, all other members have been informed and deleted.. Alexandrite remains because i can't change email or delete her, it keeps saying ''Information Only the founder can modify his own profile.''

Tried everything i can think of and as i haven't had any help with the other admin i thought i would ask here.. Hope that helps..

Thank you for the above information, i have followed the link and looked to see what i can do, i have taken photos of the group founders profile, and posted a message as required.. I contacted the other admin still alive but have not heard anything from her, so it is up to me to get this done..

When we say founder, we are referring to the account that created the forum.  On the forum, it is the one that ends with u1.

The Account that created the forum belongs to Alexandrite who pass away, it was a spare account email and password she created only for this purpose so that the 3 admins could all use it, she had her own username as an admin called Lazurlite and usually logged into the group as such.. Tanzanite is the other admin but she had not logged for over a year hence my decision to close and delete the forum..

If all 3 admins had access t the founder's acount, why do you not just log into the account and delete the forum?

Hi SLGray abit confused by your post, you told me in a PM to contact Ape because you will be away for awhile yet you are posting again, i did originally contact you via PM for help.. Ape is now helping me and i have explained to this admin what has happened as i did you..

I have tried to make myself clear a few times i do not know what more i can say..

3 admins, yes there are 3 admins however one also acted as founder of the group! as in previous posts above..

Admin 1 created the founder account and became admin and founder named Alexandrite.

Admin 2 had access to the founders login account details email and password named Tanzanite.

Admin 3 had access to the founders login account details email and password named Morganite.

Alexandrite passed away in 2010 , admin 2 and 3 were somehow able to continue using the login email and password for the deceased founder account, up until last year.. Both admin 1 and 2 have forgotten the password and when trying to change details for the founder to reset password have not been able to, because Alexandrite is no longer here we can't access her email as we do not know the password she used for that, the passwords for the forum founder login are not the same as for the email account used!!
