Maximum number of flags?

I am newly-promoted to Administrator of our forum and have taken it upon myself to fill out our Flags list, which was partially deleted several years ago. I've run into a snag, however, in that I can define only 201 flags. When I attempt to add a 202nd flag, I receive the message "This field has been modified," but the new flag is not added to the list. Is this a limitation of phpBB? Am I doing something wrong?

The 65 existing flag icons have urls like "https://2img.net/h/i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh49/rayjeff/Canada.png", while the new flags (from Flagpedia" have urls like "https://flagcdn.com/h24/ax.png".

Thanks for answering, skouliki, but that isn't really a solution. The fact that I can only define 201 flags, and that that isn't a power of 2, leads me to suspect my database might be broken. Is there anyone who could look into this for me?

does this happen only with a specific image, or in general with a 202nd field added?

I don't think it's a stupid question. It happens in general when I try to add a 202nd flag. I've deleted some earlier flags and can add the same number to the end of the list, but I still can't get past 201.

I managed to reproduce the problem

Indeed, if you edit the field or add new lines up to 201, you get redirected to the fields list with the message that it's saved - and it's true:

On the other hand, if you try to add a 202nd option:

• You are not redirected to the fields list with the message that it's saved
  
• The update is not registered
  
• You stay on the same edition page and you see the message that it's saved, but it's actually not
  

I think the best (and only) option is to wait for a Manager or an Administrator to report this to the technical team or to the head office

When you say flags, do you mean flags of countries?  If yes, do you exactly need that many?  Do you have members from over 200 countries right now?

If I remember right it is limited to 201 after that there should be a warning saying your have hit the maximum limit.

If you are not getting this warning and it is saying it has saved but nothing has come up then there is a small bug and I will be happy to report it as I am also not getting a warning.

The sad news is you have hit our limit of 200 items, I would ask you to test this again now to see if you get a warning
