    Technical Details

    Forum version : #phpBB2
    Position : Founder
    Concerned browser(s) : Mozilla Firefox
Who the problem concerns : All members
When the problem appeared : When the need arised
    Forum link : https://pwgenesis.forumotion.com

    Description of problem

Is there a way to make certain topics ignore the "resizing images" setting in the admin control panel (messages and emails>configuration>resizing images) ?

Basically, this feature is awesome and helps keep any of our images at a reasonable and viewable size. However, for our records book and title history images, the automatically resized image makes the text in the photo far too small to view/read.

Ideally, we would be able to tell those specific topics to override or ignore the "resizing images" setting, so that the images may display at their native setting.

    Is this possible at all?

Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to help our forum out!

    Hello

If the element is the same then the css code applied to all images
You can rename some elements in order to be able to apply a code only to them

Can you please give us the code you are using now, is this a css code or you just adjust it from admin panel?
Also please link us to the areas you want the resize not to be applied

If the image is larger then the set size, there should be a link at the top to view a larger version of the image.

Apologies it took me so long to reply back. For some reason, I didn't get the email notification for replies that I have set up.

@SLGray we are aware of that great feature. However, it is impractical for the purposes we are intending for these specific images.

@skouliki we are just using the option in the admin panel to resize a photo if its native resolution Heigth is over 275px. However, someone was kind enough to make some custom CSS coding to both give the enlarged photos (when you click) a border, as well as hide the "click to enlarge" type text that appears above-resized photos across the site. I don't remember exactly where they had us put it (it affects every resized photo site-wide) or what I am looking for since it was 4 years ago.

Also, it's for an entire category titled "PWG Archives" if that makes the coding any easier. But here are the individual links of the posts:

You would need a guest account made for you if you need to look at the actual content in the post as well. Please let me know if that is the case.

I appreciate any help you can give thank you so much @skouliki!

    hello

so you want only in that category the dimensions of the images you posted to be different from the general resizing code?
I don't really think its possible, I may be wrong..maybe a javaScript might do the trick

Yes, only for that entire category OR for those specific thread links I posted above. Either option would be perfectly fine.
