news on portal

i have a problem when i add the news module in my portal, when i click it it doesnt preview why?

You can add a News-module to your portal that shows the latest topic from a specific forum as a preview. Go to "Modules > Portal > Portal Pages Management />Structure" and add the existing module "News" somewhere on your portal (it's already there by default if you haven't changed anything yet).

To modify the settings for this news module, go to "Modules > Portal >Configuration".

i kno wthe steps how but i cant see it

done i figured it out it doesnt work if oyu put it as an annocement it has ot be a normal one
