Update a Application

Hey forumotion!

I recently built my forum, installed a premium package and started making changes right away! I successfully created my new app but I added wrong image to my app... I tried to change it but nothing seems to modify the existing changes, members still have the old image! Can somebody help me?

Yes, and when I click to save, nothing changes!

are you uploading the image from your desktop ?
i do not see any problems trying to change it from my test forum ..

if you want you can send me a test account only by pm with access to the admin panel so i can test it

@NickolasD do you mean you made the settings, installed the app, then modified the settings but nothing changed?

If so, it may be because the app settings are downloaded once installed, and are not directly linked.
If you share the settings from the ACP and the forum link, I can try to install it and see if it corresponds

Same picture, unfortunately nothing changed. Users need to delete the app and download it again, it doesn't changed automaticall

Hello,

This is likely because the user's device has cached the original image. It is quite common for images to be cached so that they don't have to be fetched from the server every time. It should update eventually once the user's device decides to 'check for changes' with the server. Usually this can take about a week but actually can vary based on the user's browser (which the app uses) and/or device. Try asking your users to clear the browser cache of whatever their default browser is and see if that makes it update.
