I'd like to allow certain usergroups use the [html] tag, is it supported in Forumotion?
If so, how do I allow this?

You can either allow all users to use HTML in their messages or forbid it for everyone.
AP - General - Messages and emails - Configuration - Allow HTML

I did enable it now but I still can't use [html] for some reason
it says HTML is ON now.

You also need to enable the use of HTML in your profile.
In the navigation menu, click on the Profile tab - Preferences - Always allow HTML: Yes - Save.
