email verification and account activation [Solved]

Hi guys,
On my phpbb2 board I used to verify emails, and even then I, as the admin, had to activate a user.
Can I do either of these for my alumni board where I actually want to check a user before they get to see the content?

Go to admin panel=>Users & Groups=>Users=>User settings and look for this option "New accounts activation" and choose Admin then click the save button. That way you will receive an e-mail which you have to confirm for every new registered member.If you don't confirm the e-mail the new member won't be able to log in.
