You must buy domain from forumotion and you will automatically get your website in place of forumotion.

Forumotion don't allow domains from others services. Check sticky in subforum domain problems for it.

You can use a domain name you purchased from somewhere else. You just redirect it to your forum.

To the issue of the topic, I believe for certain emails the domain name does not change the address.
