JAVA SCRIPT ISSUE PROBLEM

My site uses several displays in the portal. Typically they are HTML. IT is simply a matter of pasting the code into a custom block and inserting it at the correct location on the page.

My problem is that some of these inserts are (2) widgets and Javascript an example of each respectively listed below. Essentially they are simple the display information and/or when click goes to an affiliate website. They do not work. I assume that something must be loaded - Javascript, Java etc I do not know. Please advise what most be done to make these scripts operable on my forum (WWW.MERLIN333.BIGFORUMLIVE.COM)
