Url adress icon? Empty Url adress icon?

Can i change the url adress icon in the adress line?
There is a gold cup there with a green + sign. its annoying.

Yes, it's called a Favicon.


Here's the code:

Insert this code into the "Other Meta Tags" of the Homepage section of the Admin Panel. (Administration Panel > General Admin > Homepage)

<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="http://url_du_favicon" />

Replace "http://url_du_favicon.ico" with the address that the link supplied and you should have a favicon.

go to your boards ACP (admin control panel)
go to Homepage
in the section marked - 'other meta tags'

add the following:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://my image url"/>

I have sucsessfully added the icon now, but it only shows
on the main forum page, when im going into forums,
the standard gold cup icon comes again, any ideas? Confused

great .. the second script worked with me .. not the irst one ..
but it only appears on the Homepage or the INDEX not when you go to anyother section .. is that normal ??

im not quite sure with phpBB
i kno w/InvisionFree, you simply put the fave icon code in the meta tags

ill do some more testing to see what works best Wink
