GOtta say a few words.

This si the greatest free forum site. Im being honest, the expirience ive had so far is AMAZING. i give it a 9.5/10.

Just wondering tho, Downloads are allowed right?

It depends of the kind of download.

- Proprietary softwares with cracks : No at all, it's warez and illegal.
- Sharewares without cracks : As long as it's from official websites, or websites who are allowed to spread them, so no rapidshare-like links or p2p links.
- Freewares with proprietary license : Same as for sharewares
- Opensource softwares (GNU licenses) : No problem, the GNU licenses allow it.
- Music and movies : Must have the author's permission unless they are under an opensource license (GNU licenses, creative commons, etc.) who allow the spreading under a few conditions.
- Youtube/Dailymotion/Radioblog stuff : Only viewing. I advise you to not give any trick to download the content. Many contents are regularly removed because of copyright infringements. For example, you won't find any anime episode (Naruto, One Piece, Pokemon, etc.) who's licensed under Cartoon Network (who's the most obsessed by copyright as well as they are obsessed by the politically correct rules in their cartoon adaptations which mostly denature the series).

Oh I see...so someone praises the site and they get instant replies from the admin.....I have a problem I have been asking about for OVER A MONTH and I get nothing. Now thats what I call service!

So, OP, I completely disagree with you. My experience of this service so far is NOT good.

Well it is in the tech section so that is one problem, they rarely ever come here. And don't be surprised if you dont get a reply from them directly as they don't speak english so they have to have their replies translated.

That problem has been accuring since I have been on forumotion, that is over a year!

They would rather keep changing the admin panel around instead of fixing constant bugs or giving us an update with our suggestions.

The tech are incredibly slow on responding I had purchased points and used them on template editing. Well the points were deducted from my account but the templates editing time was not extended.

It took well over a week to get it fixed but only after I asked my attorney to look into filing charges.

I agree. Forumotion is a great place. Everyone is very nice and respectful and it makes me want to come here. The founder(s) and other staff have done an excellent job.

but... i hope i can contribute in forumotion updates... hope so

kilsek.. if they cant speak eng.. cant forumtion make those person tech who are always online n speak eng..n know abt that stuff! if tech r not availaible ... u cant think of having new features soon on sites. there has to be atleast 2-3 tech always online n help guys here n discuss abt new features / update / come wid new ideas..

I have NOT had an answer. Replies yes, but no answer to my problem. Not even a "we know what this problem is but cannot fix it right now". Not even an acknowledgement. That is unacceptable and I may well be seeking legal advice on how to obtain the database so I can host my forum myself. I used this service as it seemed very hassle free and with good support, not because I dont know how to create my own. I am so angry about this its not funny.

And yes, I DO take it seriously. If you saw my forum you would see why - if anyone would bother to look that is.
