encode email address so it just says contact

I was reading something in another post,
that made me think. ( I am able to sometimes)

how can I encode this

so that all that is seen is the word 'contact'

I'm not sure if it's that what you are searching for, but all users can decide how they wish to be contacted if they specify an email adress. Go to your profile and click the "Preferences" tab. Change now the option "Allow members to contact me by email" to "Email client form", "website form" or "No".

Email client form will show your email adress in your profile, whereas "website form" hides the email adress for the users.

Thanks Sunny D, I have that I was just trying ti find a way thay guest could contact admin via the home page, without joining. But it was just an idea.
I thought I could maybe have the word "contact" beside the hit counter, and when a visitor clicked on that they could mail me, but it isnt really important, just thought it would be good.
