How Do I insert widget on front page of forum?

Hi everyone -

I would like to put a widget on the front page of my guild's forum. I have two options one which is horizontal:

and a vertical one for the right side:

Ideally, I would like to use the first horizontal one and put it right above the purple "Forum" box - how can I do this?

What do you mean with a purple forum box? A screenshot would help maybe or a link. You could place the code in your homepage message ("General / Homepage / Config") for example.
