How to color the groups
On my site, I want people to KNOW the admins just by seeing their color, but even though the usergroup "Administrators" has a color selected for it, none of the admins are that color.
Does anyone have any help?

Same here I've tried many ways and many times to change the color of the groups in my forum.

Re: How to color the groups
And did you choose "Yes" at "Colorize usernames" (at Admin panel - Users & Groups - Users options)?

Oh yes, absolutely. I did follow the instructions. But changing color remains a mystery.
The legend of color doesn't change either, even though I created a new group, and colored it.
I hope that the legend of color doesn't depend strictly on the "font color 1,2,3" in the admin panel - Display - Colors)

Re: How to color the groups
Are you sure it isn't a hidden group? Hidden groups will not be displayed under any circumstances.

I am sure, I know the hidden group's color can't be changed.
I've tried to test it by changing the the Admin group from "hidden" to "closed" group, but still the color doesn't change. Then, I created a new group, colored it, and numbered it. Still, the color of the members in the new group doesn't change, and the new color doesn't show in the legend.

Re: How to color the groups
Ok, so you added all your administrators to the administration group (since they do actually have to be listed there), you chose the color for that group, allowed the color to show and the group is not hidded though it is closed and the color of that group does not match the color of your backgrounds...
Hmm, maybe a tech problem

Re: How to color the groups
Okay - did you assign the Admin group as number 1? Groups members display colors based on the priority of the group, so if a person is in say the Admin group and another group ... if the other group is a lower number, THAT is the group color that will be displayed.
And it's not that a hidden group color can't be changed ... it simply won't be displayed at all. Only closed and open groups will be displayed.

Re: How to color the groups

Re: How to color the groups
Wow, thanks all of you for being ready to help , and sorry for the long break.
Here are some screenshots of my forum:
For Example, "Webmasters" is the new group and is colored in red:
And I did say "yes" to coloring the group:
But the color of the members in the group doesn't show in the forum, and the legend for colors stays the same although I did number the color of the new group:
The color, sex, and title of members don't show in the forum post-reply:
If you need more screenshots, I'd be happy to provide.

Re: How to color the groups
Yvette,
I had this very same problem! The ONLY way I got it to color, was I had to remove the person from her country group color, then her staff positon color worked . . . Has to be a tech problem . . . This was an easy fix (for her) but if you have a member that belongs to working groups, you can't be removing them from those.
bev
PS: her position rank was listed in proper color in the Legend . . .
