Users STEALING my ideas

If there any way I can stop users stealing my ideas from my forum? A few things I have added in the past few days and the day after I make them a user adds the exact same thing to his forum!!

What I am asking is, is there any way I can stop people from stealing my ideas? I have a big one coming up soon to add and I am scared as soon as I add it someone else will do the same?

sadly no - there is no way to stop someone from copying your Ideas

now if you are refering to Images you created then yes
i beleive there is a thread here about image theft

meaning - if some one decided to copy my boards theme ?? how could i legaly stop them ??

I don't know if it protect the ideas or the whole forum. I know a french site for this but I don't know what it allows to protect

I know how to stop it.Go to admin panel and go to secreity.You can ban ip address from there where they cant view your forum.All you need to do is figure out your ip address.

You can also disable the right click so they cant copy like that.

To ban Ip's is not a good idea because some members of the forum could maybe have problem to access to the forum after...

OK, I added a Member of the Month competiton, the next day they added the same thing to theirs. I made a sideforum, the next day, the made one too with the same provider. I announce an update on my forum, an hour later, they do the same...

lol, can you not handle competition?

All I would do is ban them, and then hide all of your updates from all but members.

I don't call it competiton. I don't mind that user using my ideas but not taking credit but I am just worried some ***hole is going to see all we've done and copy it and then take credit!!

Well if they are stealing your ideas, then you must have something good going on. Nobody steals bad ideas. The best thing you can do take pride in knowing your ideas kickbutt and if you really want get them back, create a section on your forum and site all the things you have done that they have stolen.
Mean while I think I'll head over and see what great ideas you have that I can use... J/K!

Even if you click on the forum button, you would only get to the temporary forum, because I am upgrading the main one opening in February 2007.
