codes not working

Well when a add the birthday code

It seems to only work for some people and others its ay out
Can this be fixed??

Ok well today i sent a email to the test account with the username code.
It worked perfectly then when i sent a email to all inactive accounts it didnt show the username just the code
Can this be sorted?
Whats the point in codes to make it more personal if they do not work??

The forum variables and also the userbirthday-code in particular should work in newsletters. Do you have written your text in the first (top) textbox of the newsletter and did you select "rich text with html"?

Also, if members don't allow html in their email client, your email will be displayed as simple-text, thus not transforming your codes into the appropriate birthday.

i sent it to me first and it says the 24th october quiet a few members it was also a day out and they have html enabled
