I am lost

I added something to make a widget in my forum, I can not view the widget, nor can I find where it is

I did not use the center code as I thought it would auto center.
Any way, I can't find it to view it, it is not on the portal page.
Patients grasshoppers, I have only made wiki entries, they go in fine, but this is something I have never done before so I am a little lost when it comes to portals and widgets.
I made 3 mistakes, they are showing in name along with the one I put in correctly.

How can I view my widget to alter or place in the portal? I will say sorry now for being a bit of a noob at this.

If anyone in Admin here would like to go fix me, or guide me I would so appreciate it, I have read a few threads from here, but still I can not seem to get it right.

Ok I can view what I have done if I make it visible in forum to users :|
It is all wrong any way, I have not used HTML
I still need to know how to add widgets to the portal.
I am off to learn HTML so I can experiment.

have you read already the tutorial about the portal widgets? It can be found here and should answer many of your questions already. If something specific remains unclear, don't hesitate to ask again.

I have done all I saw in the instructions, what I put in only shows as code when I allow portal to be seen in forum, on the left side, it does not show at all in the portal link at top of my forum page.

I was wracking my brain for 3 hrs yesterday reading all widget threads in here, plus the help link which you have given.

I dragged and dropped in to the area it says to in the instructions, I am sure I must be missing something, I have tried 3 different ways of writing the HTML

I may ask a friend to check it out for me and see if she can see what I am doing wrong, if between we can not figure this then I will ask again.

It always seems to be the little things which cause the most problems for me :|

Are yu trying to add widgets to the Portal? If you are, I may know what the problem is.

Here is what you need to do. Go to:
Modules -> Portal Management -> then under the action button, press Structure

I will try, but I can see I have made a mess converting from one code to another, this is what I was aiming for, only the white bit, not the wiki info at the side.
I can see my pics are all over the place away from the writing, I did try to drag and drop the pics across the page next to the writing, but they would not stay there, any way, I will keep trying; if I fail I will ask for help again, sorry about this.

Wow thanks, that worked, one thing I would ask though.

I have put a pic in way to large, I need to edit that out and put a smaller one in, also how do I get those pics across closer to the writing?
The way it looks is very messy and ugly.
