Garbage Empty Garbage

Yea so i have the board language set to English, but all the icons that are supposed to say "locked" and "new topic" etc. are in French. :/
(Verouille, nouveau) How do i change that? ouou I want the exact same ones, but in english. im using the default skin. Phpbb3 forums.

I looked under pics management->advanced mode->buttons->see examples and i don't see an english version for any of them
