More Than One Skin? ( Skin Changer )

Yes I can tell us - it works on punbb but I think I will work on phpbb2:

Enter the link and right click and view the page sourse.

Go to admin panel and the templates and there in the above so overall_header_new / head paste this first part of the code (which ends with / scrpit)

provided of course that we need to replace a part that says First and Second with corresponding names and link_first_skin and link_second_skin with appropriate links.

Now what are these links. This is actually the css ... Signs of the skin which make the whole must be made through CSS. The part where the logo is added to the background and forget the rest. Only CSS.

And when you make the appropriate copy the entire skin css in notepad save as eg stil1.css (name not important important to end with. CSS)

upload it through a site that supports CSS (recommend webs.com) and paste the first link (the same with the other)


paste the other code that begins with the center and ends with </center> (of course instead of what First skin to put the appropriate name you specified above) after this code (click Ctrl+F and you will find fast):

Just a few things. When you do this you can not edit the skin over the CSS in admin panel, but you'll need to change everything in notepad and upload that again and replace the link.

Yes, they really need this. I like to have 4 or 5 themes but it would be better if my users could choose them. Please put this in the next update.

Yeah, this is a feature that would be great. The look of a forum can really determine a member's mood or thoughts toward that forum, if they have more choices, they are more likely to enjoy themselves.

Does anyone know a code that I can just add to the bottom of my CSS? I have heard a few people saying that there is one, but they're not posting it, they have invalid codes, or the tutorrial is in a different language and hard to follow.

There is a tutorial for this on the spanish version of forumotion. I tried it on my forum and it makes it really laggy. We need a much more official way of doing it.

I Really need it, so I voted yes! Apparently everyone wants it, someone said they were supposed to do it a LONG time ago, and they need to do it!
There are some people who are willing to leave forumotion just because it doesn't host this feature :l
