Can you put html in your forum

i want to put this html banner somewhere in my forum

is it possible and how?

Yes you can. Make sure to enable it though by going to your:

Admin Panel > General > Messages & Emails > Allow HTML > Yes > Save

yeah but can i put it somewhere on my forum, like not in a thread, somwhere on the actual homepage

Yes you can add HTML on the homepage as well by going to admin panel=>General=>Forum=>Configuration and add your code in the "Site description" if you want it to be available on every page of your forum. If you only want the code for your Homepage go to admin panel=>Display=>Homepage=>Generalities and add your code in the "Message content" field.
