how long for new domain name to come into effect?

hi there

about a week ago, i used 1600 points to change my domain name from clubpenguinchat.forumotion.com to clubpenguinchat.net

i received an email in french from buydomain@niceboard (which i cant understand) and my new domain name still doesnt seem to be working. the old name still works. the link in the french email opens a blank page,

could someone explain if i need to do anything to activate my new domain name?

About the old address, it will stay available, so your board will be available with two addresses : the old address and the customized one
By the way, you need to use the old address if you want to use SanDream's script generator, because the generator has a verification device which denies invalid addresses.

Yes the domain name was available. I have pm'd you a copy of the email. i think it is a confirmation that the domain name has been changed.....

I transmitted the copy to the technicians. They will look at it this Monday.

thanks for letting me know but i didnt get that email!! i will choose another domain but when i registered it definitely said it WAS available.

could i have clubpenguintalk.com instead please as this seems to be available?

the link now takes you to clubpenguinchat.net which doesnt work.......and isnt our domain name (at the moment number 5 in the category) although this is the domain name we originally asked for and you said was taken.

i tryed it from the link you gives and it's working!! clubpenguinchat.biz is on the 5th place and when you clik it, it takes you to www.clubpenguinchat.biz!!!

i think it's a problem of your cach! just press (Ctrl + F5) to To refresh your navigator.

i feel like an idiot....it was a cache problem!! link works fine now i cleared the cache. thank you so much for your time and effort to get this sorted. much appreciated.
