It says my forum is locked...

I just created it today but what is the wait time to have it unlocked?
Or am I just stupid and not know how to get it to work?

It didn't mean the actual forum was locked. Ok I am officially and idiot. xD

Is it only new members that cannot access your forum, or can't u access it either ?

I can access it but it says that it is locked for me at the bottom.
A friend tried to join but it wouldn't let her.

Ok - i expect what you are seeing are the 3 symbols at the bottom of the home page signifying what symbols on your forum mean - i.e there will be 3 symbols new posts - no new posts and forum is locked. Everyone has those, they let members know what symbols on the forums mean.

The problem with not letting people join could be, Your forum is in construction or your forum is in holiday mode or simply that you are not allowing new members - try these

admin > users and groups > users - user options > allow new members - make sure that this is ticked yes and press save

admin > general > forum - configuration > make sure forum in construction and forum on holiday are both ticked no and press save
