Proper warning system

First topic message reminder :

HI, I come baring yet another suggestion.

My newest suggestion is to get an official proper warning system in place. Because to me, having a few images in the personalized profile, isn't really ideal. If other forum hosts can have this, I figured we could too.

Okay, this is what it would look like in the profile: (the + and - are only for administrators and moderators though),


And by clicking the plus or the minus, staff can warn the member properly, the page will look something like this:

In this warning center, or whatever you want to call it, you can ban/suspend the member, increase/decrease their warn level, let them know via PM, all in once.

What are your thoughts on this?

Good idea. Though I prefer my own images, and find it much simpler, I voted "Yes" for the rest of you.

I agree with this more than anything in the whole entire forum. I will have poeple come and register & they will spam & just do all kinds of things in the forum. I live in my forum, so I think this would be a really good thing.

You could implement a regular warning system, you wouldn't need this...

I like that one way better. Which one do you like the best.

Yes you can, but alot of people don't know how. This is a whole lot easier. I don't know why they don't want to do this or if they can't, but this is the best ideal here. I mean it is so easy. It wouldn't be hard for no one. In my opinion.

Also have a section with pre determined warning messages that can be selected by the Mod or Admin for the violation. Then PM'ed to the Poster explaining the warning they received, and how long it will last till it expires.

I would vote "no," since it's not much a difference between an images list, and you can't have the warn bars all displayed in front of you, and you have to lower the infraction one level at a time and you can't just select a level of warning in one touch.

So definitely no. Think it through guys. This is definitely not a very good idea. And forbid if it ever gets accepted, it better have the option of us disabling this!!

However, I do like the Warning Center thingy where you can disable the member's posting ability. But that's it.

Over two years on and this idea hasn't been implemented. Shame really.
