Forum Automatic Prune
I have a BIG problem, I am a co admin of a forum and we made an archive section for old and locked topics and just now I discovered that they are vanished due to 'Forum Automatic Prune' even though we didn't set up any pruning mode there. My post count is still stable, can any of you please tell me if there is a way of bringing them back?
Cheers

P.S I tried looking for threads on this but with no avail that's why I created a new one. No results whatsoever have been shown up in a search.

I'm not sure exactly, but you could try https://www.forumotion.com/en/utils/
this gives you the option to restore your forum to a date when the topics were on the forum.

One problem is that I am not the founder admin of that forum.

Re: Forum Automatic Prune
That link you gave me Akashic doesn't work and I even gave it to the founder admin of the forum I am on and she has tried every address and password she ever had on the link and none of them work. Does anyone know any alternatives or can you tell me at least where is the 'Garbage' in the admin panel because on there it says 'The pruned messages will not be deleted but moved in the Garbage'.

Re: Forum Automatic Prune
Look under General>configuration.
what forum has been designated as the 'basket'?
if you have ticked YES for "The pruned messages will not be deleted but moved in the Garbage." they will have been sent to the designated forum.
if NO is checked...I believe they would be deleted.

Re: Forum Automatic Prune
The weird thing is that the users' post counts are unaffected so I know they are there somewhere even though there is no pruning basket. Plus that utility link Akashic posted doesn't work with the founder admin of the forum I am on. She has tried every password and email ever used on it but with no success.

Re: Forum Automatic Prune
Hi Moldie
The link I provided should work. I have just tried it and it works fine. The founder has to put in the details they created the forum with. It has to be the original email address and password, even if these details have since been changed to access the forum.

Re: Forum Automatic Prune
One more question though, I managed to bring the topics back but the post counts of some of the members is a bit weird. If somebody has fewer than 300 posts for example and when you look them up in the profile, the amount is different to the ones said on the post count. Can somebody tell me why that happens or what has cause this at least.
