Disabling colour for normal users Empty Disabling colour for normal users

Post by Guest February 3rd 2009, 10:37 am

Well, on a few threads I've seen staff telling users not to use colour because only staff can use it. Well, I was wondering why isn't the colour just disabled for us? Staff can still use it but normal users can't. It stops staff getting annoyed and tired out of people using colour who shouldn't be.

Opinions?

You cannot disable colour for members, thats why Wink

Bad idea, as we can use it for examples and other things.

As far as I was aware, we are not allowed to use colour for anything

Good idea, voted yes.
It should be no problem for them to alter the code.

I agree with darren...
the members should show respect to the rules and staff by not using color.
It shouldn't be that we are restricting members more, by disabling the colors.
what next? disable Pm for members because they spam?
i'd feel a bit caged if I couldn't do anything on a forum.

the color can be used in one place... the graphics requests... only in the graphics commander form.

But whats the point in it being their if it can't be used? Anyway the new members will be clueless to knowing that they aren't allowed to use colour.

@popo
What do you mean? It is clearly stated in the RULES, that on the support forum color is reserved for Admins/Mods.
It's the members own fault if they fail to read the rules before posting!
Forumotion can't go around changing every little thing to satisfy the whims of one or two people.
Read the rules, respect the rules...seems pretty simple to me.
