Adverts Empty Adverts

Post by john waller 10328 February 6th 2009, 11:11 am

I recently paid for ad removal for both guests and members yet two adverts still remain.
Both are on the footer, free forum and create a blog, these are adverts pure and simple.

The 'adds' on the footer are not 'adds' their 'promotion' (as their comically known as)

And you cannot remove these without violating ForuMotion ToS.

The adds you have paid to remove are the flashy type of annoying ones between the top of ur forum, and the main board.

John, those are forumotion footers. Which can't be removed.
There has been a suggestion to remove them by paying.

Can't find anything in the tos that even mentions footers and yes these are adverts and not promotional.
What's the difference between adverts and promotional nothing.
Whats the difference between ads for forumotion and ads for an adult chat...... Nothing.
BTW the flashy ads at the top of your forum can be removed using template editing.

These terms of service might be modified at any moment, at
Forumotion.com's discretion. All accounts have to be in conformity with
all changes which have been done in these policies.

(not meant to dumb you down)
Also, Typlo (a ForuMotion worker) has stated on hundreds of cases that we cannot remove the footer links without violating the ToS.

Then it should be added to the tos not just posted on here, but in any case a clickable link that takes you to somewhere that offers a service is an advert under eu law, I think a French company is covered by that.
Also the forums already set up only agreed to the present tos not an amended one, the paragraph quoted in law makes no sense.
typlo is fond of quoting tos at anything he doesn't agree with, so put it in the tos, or are you afraid potential members will read it and think sod this I'll go somewhere else?
Also elsewhere on this forum other staff have stated to remove footer links buy template editing, unless their posts have been removed during a "clean up".
