i want a shoutbox

I want a shoutbox on my forum and i really dont get the text written in the FAQ.

Where am i supposed to put the html code? Cause if i put it in the generalities (the page where u got the meta tags and all that), i just see code when i preview it - no shoutbox

So could somebody help me step by step, with installing (not creating) the shoutbox?

Activate the ChatBox :Check to Yes

well, first off i tried it with no luck, didnt see any code this time, its just hidden above the ads.

second off, i dont want the shoutbox in the portal, or in column 1 or 3 - i want it right under the ads - is this possible?

General>Messages & Emails
Allow html: Check Yes

See if this makes it work. If it doesn't please provide a link to your forum and a screenshot where you just see the code.

Also, can you give me the total code in that homepage message?

well. how do i change the code? i cant edit the code directly can i?

Well the code which is already there, save it in a word document.

Then copy paste the code that i gave in the above post in the homepage message to see if it works.

doesnt work, all i get is code.

i cant use html anywhere it seems.. i enabled HTML in "messages and emails", theres nothing else i need to do to enable HTML is there?

If it would make things easier for you, i could PM you my login info and you could have a look at the panel?
