Anyway to add Java scripts to Portal Widgets?

i have tried many scripts, such as scripts from http://www.dynamicdrive.com but none seem to work in portal widgets

i also have a JavaScript for international times on my forum (homepage) its works with IE and should work with Firefox but doesn't, although if i go to forums through admin CP it works with Firefox. anyway to fix this also?.

I am not sure if all the scripts from dynamicdrive work. Which other scripts do you want to use?

im always adding new stuff to the site including many java scripts so was wondering if there way anyway to add them like adding widgets own header and footer or something. 99% of the java scripts i want to use wont work

I used to take the widget editing out of HTML mode and then post and save the scripts and it worked. Not sure if it still does.
