Forum styles jumbled up
Trying to find a nice-looking style for my forum, I cycled through a huge number of styles. Now I have a problem that I hope you will be able to resolve:
No matter what style I'm picking, it seems to be merging with the previously selected style instead of replacing it. Currently my forum is an ugly green, and I cannot change it to anything else. How do I resolve it?
I guess one way is to delete my forum (if I can find such an option) and try again. At the moment that is still possible, since I've added very little to the forum so far.
I've looked around in the admin panel, but can't find a way to delete the forum. Anyone?

www.hitskin.com go onto the site, choose your skin. Enter your forum URL, then install the skin. See if that sorts out.

This happens a lot. Instead of pressing Save Settings you have to go to that blue bar on the forum preview and hit the link that says Install the skin. Also, some themes block the blue bar, so you have to go to HitSkin.com and place your forum's URL in the text box that says Forum Address and click on the button that says Install the skin.

Eureka! Thanks guys! The Hitskin.com solution worked. What service!
Another question: how can I install the twilightBB skin? I don't spot it between the available skins.

No, sorry. It is called twilightBB, not just twilight. You can see an example of it at http://mummstheword.freeforums.org/
I see there is a possible procedure to upload it:

There are different forum versions, phpBB2, phpBB 3, punBB, and Invision. It's probably on a different version than you're using.mumm wrote:Eureka! Thanks guys! The Hitskin.com solution worked. What service!

Re: Forum styles jumbled up
twilightBB is a phpBB3 version.
That last link I listed seems to be related only if you host the forum yourself.

Re: Forum styles jumbled up
Aww. What a pity. twilightBB would have been ideal for my purposes.
Thanks for your great responses. Much appreciated.
I guess I have only a few choices: continue to look for a place where I can use that specific skin, or standardize on one of the hitskins. One day I may even get a static IP and then I can host it myself.
