The locked forum stuff

Okay you know how each time we have a problem, someone from staff anwsers it. Then when it is anwsered they lock it. How can i do this, how can i assign it to a specific forum?

I think you can lock all the posts in all the forums. Can't do a setting which will make it lock only for one forum.
At the bottom where there are options, of splitting, deleting, moving the thread etc...there will be a option of locking as well.

The ability to lock a thread is found on every forum software. Even Fireboard and other Joomla! forum componants have it.

You must also have the permissions to lock topics. I assume that you are the administrator, so you shouldn't have any problems as administrators can moderate everywhere. Smile

well what about mods how could i make a moderatore group like sanket so they can lock forums, lol i deleted old one.

General>Categories And forums
Click on any forum name.
Permissions tab
Advanced mode,
Check moderate option

Lol, i knew that but i meant a group like your in, casue i deleted my old moterators group. Also are you sure there no way i can do the lock thin on forums, how did you do it, i thought features on here were able to be done on any forums. Having ability would be so much easier

Oh a new group,
Users & groups>Group administration
Create a new group.

Giving the permission of moderating, will allow them to lock. There is no other way.
