Solved Unable to create Categories

I've been making several attempts to create Categories for my forum and they never show. Is there something I'm doing wrong or what?

The problem is with the permissions .
Create a forum attached to it and set its permissions as follows

If you're having moderators press the arrow next to moderators

admin > display > homepage - structure and hierarchy > 'split categories on index' > click medium and save
