Hello,

have you got the HTML & BBCodes enabled on ur forum, and in ur profile?

If so, then the
Code:
{USERNAME}
code should work fine.

hm.... i just need code when u log in on forum to show up your user name .... that is passible, but forumotion dont want to help ....

and this option that i trying to put on forum is rly cool Smile

which template?
index_body : Home page

ok i made something for my forum only for phpBB2 ( i dont like new LogIn pop-up its annoying)

in index body

remove this
Code:

<!-- BEGIN message_admin_index -->
<table class="forumline" width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0">
   <!-- BEGIN message_admin_titre -->
   <tr>
      <td class="catHead" height="28"><span class="cattitle">{message_admin_index.message_admin_titre.MES_TITRE}</span></td>
   </tr>
   <!-- END message_admin_titre -->
   <!-- BEGIN message_admin_txt -->
   <tr>
      <td class="row1" rowspan="3" align="center" valign="middle">
      <div class="gensmall">{message_admin_index.message_admin_txt.MES_TXT}</div>
      </td>
   </tr>
   <!-- END message_admin_txt -->
</table>
<!-- END message_admin_index -->

and put
Code:

<!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_in -->
<div style="clear: both;"></div>
<div id="page-body">
<div id="emptyidcc" class="no-left">
<table class="three-col" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td valign="top" width="0">
<div id="emptyidleft">
</div>
</td>
<td valign="top" width="100%">
<table class="forumline" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="1" width="100%">
<tbody><tr>
<td class="catHead" height="28"><span class="cattitle"><font style="color: rgb(162, 123, 91); font-size: 10pt;">Your_forum_name_and_font_settings</font></span></td>

</tr>
<tr>
<td class="row1" rowspan="3" align="center" valign="middle">
<div class="gensmall"><marquee style="color: rgb(204, 185, 185);">Your_Message_And_Font_Settings</marquee>
<div align="center"><marquee behavior="alternate" style="color: darkred;" width="600">Your_Message_And_Font_Settings</marquee></div></div>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody></table>
<!-- END switch_user_logged_in -->

<!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_out -->
<div style="clear: both;"></div>
<div id="page-body">
<div id="emptyidcc" class="no-left">
<table class="three-col" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td valign="top" width="0">
<div id="emptyidleft">
</div>
</td>
<td valign="top" width="100%">
<table class="forumline" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="1" width="100%">
<tbody><tr>
<td class="catHead" height="28"><span class="cattitle"><font style="color: rgb(162, 123, 91); font-size: 10pt;">Welcome to the YOUR_FORUM_NAME forum.</font></span></td>

</tr>
<tr>
<td class="row1" rowspan="3" align="left" valign="middle">
<div class="gensmall">
<font style="color:ccb9b9; font-size: 10pt;">If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the <a class="nav" href="http://www.YOUR_FORUM_LINK.com/faq.htm">FAQ</a> by clicking the link above.</br>

If you are already registered, please <a class="nav" href="http://www.YOUR_FORUM_LINK.com/login.forum?connexion">LogIn</a>.</font>
</div>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody></table>
<!-- END switch_user_logged_out -->

change this when u put this code on forum
Code:

You must adapt this settings on your forum

// this is message for guests and members when log in on forum

// Your_Message_And_Font_Settings :: you can change that font,color ...

// Your_forum_name_and_font_settings :: you can change font, color ...

// Welcome to the YOUR_FORUM_NAME forum. :: you can change this too

// Change this line too :: <font style="color:ccb9b9; font-size: 10pt;">If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the <a class="nav" href="http://www.YOUR_FORUM_LINK.com/faq.htm">FAQ</a> by clicking the link above.</br>
You may have to <a class="nav" href="http://www.YOUR_FORUM_LINK.com/profile.forum?mode=register">REGISTER</a>, before you can post or view messages: click the register link above to proceed.</br>
If you are already registered, please <a class="nav" href="http://www.YOUR_FORUM_LINK.com/login.forum?connexion">LogIn</a>.</font>

so when guest come to forum it will be message for guests
ex.
Welcome Back ! Code 48365855

and when someone log in, it will be message for members, like in vBull...

and now i makeing vBull menu ... and i nearly done it ... i miss only that username option ... when someone log in to forum ... to show up your username....
and it will be like this ....

when u are log out
https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img242/9775/75602669.png

or log in
https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img15/6191/96468524.png

First of all { USERNAME} Is not php, dont know why these people call it this.

Try {S_USERNAME}, which is ne way of etting it in a proper phpbb3 installation.

What I'm saying is in proper PHPBB3, i host my installation and thats one of many ways. As far as I'm aware in PHPBB2 its the same. PHPBB2 templating here so should work, no harm in trying.

ok, im taking a new approach to this, after a little bit of research:

STOP editing ur template, it does not work for a welcome message!!!

Please do ~

Navigate:

Admin panel >> Display (tab) >> Homepage/generalities > Homepage message > in the LARGER box, add the stuff u want to add.
the USERNAME} code DOES work there.
