sitemap error in google??

getting a errror while submitting site maps
"Unsupported file format
Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format"

Make sure you have your google map enabled on your forum.
that's the only thing i can think of right now.
come back if your still haveing problems ans i'm sure another staff or member will be able to help

the only setting i see for this is to show google map?
it's actually raising more questions for me then i can answer.
like i said i never used this feature so i know nothing about it.

ware is it supposed to appear?
once i know that then maybe i can see if I'm getting the same error not?
Honestly i dont see what the significance of this is? but it's a feature and i guess people like yourselves like it. but i mean it's not going to show you exactly ware someone is just within the general area..

so please explain to me a lil more what it's supposed to be doing and ware you view this. i apologies. i am just really bad on features i do not use or never use.But i will do my best to try to help one i understand it... lol

the whole thing to me seems like invasion of privacy. i dont see how it's legal.
but who knows LOL.it just seems a lil creepy. it seems it narrows it down to like a 50 mile radiance.. no wonder why so many use proxies and surf anonymously. blackeye

Why do you even need a sitemap? Google has no trobule at all finding your site, or searching it...

without a sitemap googlebot wil not crawl into ur site....

oh thats why you think you need it. no you do not have to have the map on
for google bots. any board or forum you have open for guest it will gather that info along with your forums site too.

No...

All you need to is have google find your link, if a site links to your site or you submit your link to google thats all you need.
