Being a complete noob to creating and running a forum I was put to the task of building a forum for our local reef club. I stumbled upon this site and while tyring to create one I noticed that the the domain name had to contain extra info such as Mysite.motionsforum.com instead of mysite.com. I also noticed, while browsing already made forums that some domains did not contain this extra info and simply had theirsite.com as a domain. Is it possible to do this? Do I need to purchase the domain first? Please be gentle with me. Thanks for any help.
