Point system?

Is it possible to have a point system on your forum? If yes, how?

there's a points managenment that you can use to activate the points system

follow these steps:

1-admin panel (old version)

2-general admin

3-the last thing "points managenment", click on it and activate it

By a point system do you mean a forum of "reputation"? Or even a form of "Cash" like having a "forum store"?

These can not be done on Editboard, however it has been suggest so here is hoping!

Also the post above give you "points" which can be used to upgrade your forums, however it is only good for:

More space.
A Gallery.
A Domain.
And a few other things.

I'm reffering to a point system that adds points to member according to the nr. of posts and their lenght

you mean that you want to set a "rank" to the members?!.so they get promoted when they post more?!..or you want to limit the number of posts?!

I already have set a rank, I want another method to sort them, to make these points harder to get....like, if a member posts just 2 words, he shouldn't get a point, just a post...but if a member writes more, like 4 lines or such, he should get some points, and a post ! Is this possible?

ah i got you, but no... Unfortunatelly that thing is not possible..i think that you need them to post much more valuable posts and topics rather that a "bla bla" replies, no it's not possible, but you can increase the limit of each rank..so the poster has to post much more to get a higher degree, but nothing like the word points sister!

Another Hint, rather than the automatic ranks you set for the members..you also can create special ranks, and you manually assign it to the good posters, like "active member" and "very active member"..set it to them by your self!
