Forum Names
Hey Guys,
This isn't really a problem, as such, but i didn't know where else to post this. I know, from first hand experience, that it is VERY annoying, having to type in your forum user name to log in, especially if its very long. So, is it possible, to have a user name, and a display name?
For Example, on these forums, my user name could be chocolate, and my Display name be Arden Marshall?
If this isn't possible, could it please become possible?
Cheers,

Re: Forum Names
No that is not possible. your user name that you joined with will also be your display name. although i do think that would be a great post to put onto the suggestions board. you got my vote

Awesome. Thanks Kirk.
Another thing, how can you have group Colourizations 2 colours (i'm looking at yours now, and "Support Mod" is purple, and "erator"is grey).
Cheers

yea there ya go.. hahaha i was ripping my hair out trying to get it right.
anyway Arden Marshall you can choose what ever color you want. you can get the color numbers in the admin panel>display.colors then copy the color number and add to the code above and to what rank you want to make.then you would put the whole thing is as the rank name.
admin panel>user.groups>ranks>add new rank set how you want and hit save.
thanks Darren oh thanks for the blink thing too. I'm so used to using the codes for my paid phpbb and get confused for the others... lol

Re: Forum Names
Ok, maybe it isn't solved.
Haha, thats what i want, but i don't want 2 different colours for ranks, i want them for group names. So, in the legend down the bottom theres:
Legend :
[ Forumotion Administrators ] [ Forumotion Global Moderators ]
[ Forumotion Support Moderators ] [ Forumotion Graphic Designers ]
[ Forumotion Reviewers ]
All of these are different colours, so is it possible to have one group name 2 different colours? So, they may be something like this:
[ Forumotion Administrators ]

having your group titles would not be possible to have it in slit colors like your saying.
when you create a group or use the existing ones you can only choose what color you want ti to be. so it's not possible to have them that way.
Arden Marshall please be sure to go back and edit the solved tab out of the thread if the topic is not yet solved.i have seen you had the solved icon on.but it seems this may not be solved for you yet.So i changed it back to not having the icon up.be sure to put it back or reply here when it is solved.
thank you
